No; it's an old wives' tale. I think that the way it got started is that a person (male or female) usually starts to shave face or legs when they're very young. As they continue to shave, they are continuing to mature, and as a result of maturation, the hair gradually becomes coarser.
Shaving itself only affects the hair shaft; it doesn't have anything to do with the follicle, which is what determines the thickness of the hair. When hair is REALLY long (like a couple of feet on the head), the weight of the hair pulling on the follicle can slow the growth somewhat, but when it comes to leg or face hair, it's mostly just hormones doing what they do :-)Is it true that your body/facial hair will get thicker and grow faster the more you shave it?

it certainly does. Shaving gets them thicker, much more in number and if you shave all the time you might have to shave daily as well.

from my beautician, no... its like shaving your head when you are bald... you wont get any more hair growing... it just seems like that... its going to be coarse because its short...when it grows in, its going to seem worse, but it isnt any different than it was before you shaved............
Yea, it's true and it stinks! don't know if your a guy or a girl but if your a girl don't believe that crapola about waxing that it takes 3 or more weeks to see hair regrowth. Really pushing it you can get two weeks out of a wax job and 3 days out of a shave!

Please recommend me some cleansing or facial wash to control pimples-breakout?
I have a feeling a breakout is coming. Of course, I am using pimple-creams and such to tackle it.
I wonder what are some good cleansing or facial wash out there. Can someone give me some recommendations? I thought of buying Clearasil Ultra Cleansing Gel but I heard there are lots of bad reviews on it.Please recommend me some cleansing or facial wash to control pimples-breakout?
I would definitely suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples and the maks they leave behind! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days! a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

When ever I feel like a grease pit i turn to plain dove soap, it usually dries up the oilyness, and makes me feel a ton better.
Also do you take benzaclin? it's a great cream to tackle those ruthless pimples. It's prescription only though, if you don't have it, ask your dermatologist if they can give you samples to try.
oh and another thing, most of the face washes out there are crapp, they make me break out even more.

get a towel put it over ur head while u bend over the sink like a tepee, leave the hot water running the steam will open ur pores and then use anti bacteria liquid hand soap (walmart has a bunch of it) or dove to wash them out, then use cold water to close them up. works pretty good.
Go with neutrogena man it's awesome u see the diffrence in about 3 days it really works i tried averything but this is the only one that worked go for it you'll love it

If you don't really break out much, Aveeno is your best bet. It's a bit more all natural that some of the more common moisturizers out there, and it can be found at most stores such as Wal Mart, K Mart, CVS, etc.
But if your skin is more break-out prone, like mine is, definately try Cetaphil. It's Non-comedogenic (meaning it won't give you black heads or clogged pores), and ';is an elegant, non-greasy formulation that is mild, non-irritating and long lasting.'; I used it all the time when I was on acne medication and it wouldn't interfere with my face at all. Add a drop of medicinal glycerine to a little oil, mix it and rub on your face / body in the morning. After some time, wash it off. Or, still better is apply it in the night and keep it till morning. See the result just after one day. [You may mix some glycerine %26amp; oil and keep it in a small bottle for frequent use. It doesn't go bad].

Do any women use Ortho Tri-Cylen as a way to stop/slow facial hair?
My doctor recently prescribed it to me (i've been on a lower dose birth control for it) and said it would work better, but i know it's a stronger dose of birth control. Does anyone else use it as a way to stop/slow facial hair? And has it worked well? Were there any major side effects? I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen before and there were no major side effects for me. I've been on Yasmin, Yaz, and another brand... something like Alees (not sure on exact name) and they have all worked fine for me. I have never experience any increase/decrease in hair growth. My hair is very distinctive on my skin tone so I would notice if there was a change. Of course all of the side effects depends on your health status like being a smoker, etc. If anything, oral contraceptive has help stabilize my menstrual cramps. well this is a very personal question but i think i speak for most when i say indian females have the most attractive facial feature the reason bieng is how they have the most elegant looking jaw line and cheek bone but i can not say this for all people beacuse everyone is differnt and has differnt taste so you will get a wide variaty of answersWhich nationality has the most attractive facial features?
