Help with a mirror and facial tones please?

on a sunny day i face away from the sun and put my hand in front of my face .. its shadowed but when i go near my truck it becomes much lighter even though i am facing away from the sun is this because the sun is relecting off the window? because i then look in my truck side mirror and i look different than i usually look ( lighter face showing flaws ) is this because the sun is relecting off the mirror? thanks.Help with a mirror and facial tones please?
Probably. I see that in myself, as well, when i look in a car window or something!
