Most are flat. Need help!I have facial moles that really hurt when I shave. Can I get them removed?
You can go to a dermatologist who will freeze them off with a special alcohol spray which causes skin to freeze to below zero temps.
Or, you can buy the spray yourself and freeze your own moles off.
The product you need is called Compound W Freeze off. It's used primarily for warts but you can use it for moles, age spots and skin tabs and stubborn lesions as well.
The same chemical in the Compound W spray is used in a professional product dermotologists use (called VERUCCA FREEZE... you can google it. Same chemical though.
Before that, for many years dermatologists used plain-old nitrogen to freeze off moles, etc. but this was VERY expensve and required PERMITS and special tools! The Verucca Freeze (or the home version -- Compound W) is less toxic (it does not freeze as deeply as nitrogen) but it has the same effect.
.Here are the steps
1. Do this in the evening so that you skin can begin to heal overnight.
2. Clean the mole with soap and water. Dry and then clean with rubbing alcohol. Dry any excess alcohol
3. Spray the Compound W sponge applicator until it's wet and then apply the sponge applicator to your mole. your skin should turn white and will sting (that's the freeze effect). If it's not turning white and freezing, then spray the appliicator again and re-apply to skin! Keep the sponge applicator in contact with your skin for about 30 seconds and then remove. In about 6 hours, it'll form a small scab and your mole will fall off a day or two after that. But don't force it off! Let it come off by itself. In about a week after that you skin will completely heal and all redness will be gone.
If you're a little hesitant to immediately try this on a facial area, you might want to try it on a mole/skin tab/age spot somewhere else on your body. Getting rid of a small one, out of public view, will give you confidence to tackle the moles on your face.
You can get rid of about 7 moles with one can of the spray. (Cost is less than $20). If you go to a dermatologist, it'll cost a few hundred!
