What is a good affordable natural facial wash?

Your best bet would be to go to a Whole Foods or better yet a locally owned health food store. Unfortunately most organic and ';natural'; (which actually doesn't mean much) lines are not very cheap.

A good value is Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps. Most organic soaps are castile soaps. The Dr. Bronner's is very well priced and can be used on your face, body, hair, and to clean your house. It is free trade and organic. It is concentrated so you only use a tiny amount, the bottles last a very long time. I had an 8 ounce bottle that lasted months. I suggest Baby Mild for face use. Target also sells Dr. Bronner's soaps.

A really great organic line is Terressentials. The 100% organic fragrance free face wash is $10.75 and lasts about 3 months.

Burt's Bees is also a natural type company, but it's products are not organic.

Most if not all brands sold in drugstores are not natural or organic. They have many chemicals in them even if they appear to be of natural origin. I recently tried to find a ';green'; face wash at Target and was really hard pressed to find something that didn't have at least 2 red flag ingredients in the traditional face care section.

As a rule I would avoid anything with an unspecified ';fragrance'; as they have some of the worst most harmful chemicals of all cosmetic additives. What is a good affordable natural facial wash?
I once heard carmondy on ';what not to wear'; tell a person to use ';sugar'; every night to scrub her face. It makes sense to use granulated sugar at least to get the dead surface skin cells off. I also like using prescriptives products. They are found at department stores. Avon makes a line of facial soap that generally contains salicytic acid (basically made from aspirin or willow bark)
