This has been bothering me for a while.
ThanksIs it true that your body/facial hair will get thicker and grow faster the more you shave it?
No; it's an old wives' tale. I think that the way it got started is that a person (male or female) usually starts to shave face or legs when they're very young. As they continue to shave, they are continuing to mature, and as a result of maturation, the hair gradually becomes coarser.
Shaving itself only affects the hair shaft; it doesn't have anything to do with the follicle, which is what determines the thickness of the hair. When hair is REALLY long (like a couple of feet on the head), the weight of the hair pulling on the follicle can slow the growth somewhat, but when it comes to leg or face hair, it's mostly just hormones doing what they do :-)Is it true that your body/facial hair will get thicker and grow faster the more you shave it?
I think that is a myth.
it certainly does. Shaving gets them thicker, much more in number and if you shave all the time you might have to shave daily as well.
yes
No. There is no question about this topic.
yes it is true
Yes it's true, try to remember back to when your leg hair was fine baby hair and then kids teased you and you shaved ... ugh ... it just get's thicker and darker!!!!!
Apparently not. I think it becomes a little more prominent though.
no! its just a myth
its true
from my beautician, no... its like shaving your head when you are bald... you wont get any more hair growing... it just seems like that... its going to be coarse because its short...when it grows in, its going to seem worse, but it isnt any different than it was before you shaved............
Yea, it's true and it stinks! don't know if your a guy or a girl but if your a girl don't believe that crapola about waxing that it takes 3 or more weeks to see hair regrowth. Really pushing it you can get two weeks out of a wax job and 3 days out of a shave!
i really think so as it sure seems like it on my legs etc
ugh

Please recommend me some cleansing or facial wash to control pimples-breakout?
I have a feeling a breakout is coming. Of course, I am using pimple-creams and such to tackle it.
I wonder what are some good cleansing or facial wash out there. Can someone give me some recommendations? I thought of buying Clearasil Ultra Cleansing Gel but I heard there are lots of bad reviews on it.Please recommend me some cleansing or facial wash to control pimples-breakout?
I would definitely suggest you try SWISS glutathione bar. Its actually a soap intended for skin lightening but it really works well against pimples and the maks they leave behind! it dries them out easily in just 2-3days! a lot of people buy it for that purpose even if they dont have to lighten their skin. check out

When ever I feel like a grease pit i turn to plain dove soap, it usually dries up the oilyness, and makes me feel a ton better.
Also do you take benzaclin? it's a great cream to tackle those ruthless pimples. It's prescription only though, if you don't have it, ask your dermatologist if they can give you samples to try.
oh and another thing, most of the face washes out there are crapp, they make me break out even more.
Good Luck!
get a towel put it over ur head while u bend over the sink like a tepee, leave the hot water running the steam will open ur pores and then use anti bacteria liquid hand soap (walmart has a bunch of it) or dove to wash them out, then use cold water to close them up. works pretty good.
Go with neutrogena man it's awesome u see the diffrence in about 3 days it really works i tried averything but this is the only one that worked go for it you'll love it

Can taking testorone at a young or older age change the way your facial structure is or make you taller?
Possibly, but it can also cause you to grow breasts. Can taking testorone at a young or older age change the way your facial structure is or make you taller?
Actually testosterone metabolizes into estrogen. So too much can cause elevated levels of estrogen in your blood stream which can lead to gynecomastia (male breasts). The way your face is, is the way it will always be. Your structure is preset because of genetics. Your height has nothing to do with testosterone, it also has to do with genetics. You grow because of HGH or human growth hormone, not because of testosterone. Can taking testorone at a young or older age change the way your facial structure is or make you taller?
not once you are older but if you take it when you are young and particularly at the beginning of puberty it will affect you greatly. some good and some bad, so I wouldn't suggest it. depending on how you are getting it in your system and what stage of development it could cause serious health problems and severe organ damage.
Dude above me that's estrogen not testosterone.
and for the asker: I don't know why don't you go to your doctor and ask him.
In the male body, testosterone is the most important sex hormone. Testosterone is responsible for development of male characteristics such as body and facial hair, muscle growth and strength, and a deep voice. Normal levels of testosterone also influence the production of sperm, promote sexual function and promote sex drive.
We now know that some men's bodies do not make enough testosterone. These men may experience uncomfortable and sometimes distressing symptoms. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) estimates that 4 to 5 million American men may suffer from low testosterone, but only 5 percent are currently treated.
As men get older, the ability to produce testosterone declines. This decrease in testosterone production is sometimes referred to as andropause or “male menopause.” If testosterone levels fall below the normal range some typical symptoms may include:
In addition to age-related low testosterone, there are certain medical conditions that can cause low testosterone. These medical conditions can begin in youth or in adulthood, and can affect testosterone levels throughout a man’s life. Some of these conditions are associated with the testicles, pituitary gland and/or hypothalamus (a part of the brain that controls many of the body’s glands). Occasionally, the problem can be genetic.
In younger men, low testosterone production may reduce the development of body and facial hair. Muscle mass and genitals may not develop normally, and younger men’s voices may fail to deepen.

What are some good and cheap facial moisturizers?
they seem to be pretty expensiveWhat are some good and cheap facial moisturizers?
If you don't really break out much, Aveeno is your best bet. It's a bit more all natural that some of the more common moisturizers out there, and it can be found at most stores such as Wal Mart, K Mart, CVS, etc.
But if your skin is more break-out prone, like mine is, definately try Cetaphil. It's Non-comedogenic (meaning it won't give you black heads or clogged pores), and ';is an elegant, non-greasy formulation that is mild, non-irritating and long lasting.'; I used it all the time when I was on acne medication and it wouldn't interfere with my face at all. It is also sold at stores such as Wal Mart, K Mart, CVS, etc. What are some good and cheap facial moisturizers?
Dove, has a great Facial Moisturizer.
I would try using Clear Pore it's a cleanser/mask. It kills blackheads and prevents breakouts causing bacteria. It's also cheap I'm talkin only 5 bucksnatural instinct

Forget moisturisers!
Add a drop of medicinal glycerine to a little oil, mix it and rub on your face / body in the morning. After some time, wash it off. Or, still better is apply it in the night and keep it till morning. See the result just after one day. [You may mix some glycerine %26amp; oil and keep it in a small bottle for frequent use. It doesn't go bad].

You can try Nivea aqua sensation that's what I've been using for a year or so it works well, no flakes :) iv'e heard aveeno doesn't have harsh chemicals so that should work too. :) good luck if i find any more info i'll let you know :)
I have really dry skin too, and I use Dove sensitive skin night cream. It's 8 bucks for a jar and it spreads really well so it takes like 3 months to use a jar.
I use Clean%26amp;Clear. It's not expensive but I don't know the price.
what's your budget?
i use neutrogena's oil free moisturizer but it's $12 a tube.

Do any women use Ortho Tri-Cylen as a way to stop/slow facial hair?
My doctor recently prescribed it to me (i've been on a lower dose birth control for it) and said it would work better, but i know it's a stronger dose of birth control. Does anyone else use it as a way to stop/slow facial hair? And has it worked well? Were there any major side effects? Any suggestions or comments are appreciated!Do any women use Ortho Tri-Cylen as a way to stop/slow facial hair?
I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen before and there were no major side effects for me. I've been on Yasmin, Yaz, and another brand... something like Alees (not sure on exact name) and they have all worked fine for me. I have never experience any increase/decrease in hair growth. My hair is very distinctive on my skin tone so I would notice if there was a change. Of course all of the side effects depends on your health status like being a smoker, etc. If anything, oral contraceptive has help stabilize my menstrual cramps. I use to get major cramps before the pills and now it is tolerable. Good luck!Do any women use Ortho Tri-Cylen as a way to stop/slow facial hair?
birth control pills contain levels of the hormone progesterone or a combination of estrogen and progesterone. What it does is exert negative feedback, or in other words, inhibit androgens, such as testosterone that is causing your facial hair.

Which is better for an avocado facial mask? honey or olive oil?
I am doing a spa day tomorrow. And I wanted to have a avocado facial mask. I have read many websites, and they all say either honey or olive oil. I'm not sure which one works better for faces. Which one should I use? Which one would work better and makes faces softer?Which is better for an avocado facial mask? honey or olive oil?
I suggest honey because it have alot of vitamins that nourish dry skin and it make your face look fresh and dewy.Which is better for an avocado facial mask? honey or olive oil?
I used honey and I was pretty happy with the results. My face felt really clean and softer than usual. Out of curiosity, what are the other ingredients? The one I used needed only avocado, honey, and sugar ; taking the other ingredients in consideration make help determine which is better for your skin.
I'd say honey, olive oil might might your face too oily/greasy, its (the olive oil) better for your hair than your face you should try it the results are fantastic! the only downside to the mixture of honey and avocado is the smell, after a while it starts to smell unholy..
Hey Leena im bond !!!! James bond.Im from India.WE people are having a traditional culture from the starting of this earth so i wanna tell you that olive oil is made from a tree which is preached in INDIA.So in my opinion you should use olive oil.HOPE it would help you.
Honey. It preserves the natural look of your face. Making you looker younger as you age older. Since its a natural essence unlike other cleaning things its more effective.

What is with ladies and their facial hair?
why do so many old ladies have such horrid facial hair. a lady came into my work today and had, i am NOT joking, black and grey hair (the thickness of a man's) on her lip and chin..... and it was long...

theres a lady at the fleamarket that i go to and she looks exactly as you described it is so gross. i dont know how people can't just shave it off

Some have had hysterectomies which mess with their hormonal balance and some are in menopause which essentially does the same thing.

A skin care item (men's) that is all natural for after shower facial application to get rid of dry skin?
After hot showers, the skin on my face gets very dry and whitish in areas which then flakes. All facial topical solutions/ointments I have tried after they dry leave a residue on the face that doesn't look good. Is disqualifying a qualified candidate with facial tatoos in an interview discrimination?
No...the person you are going to hire, is going to represent your business or the company you work for...if you feel the person would not best represent you or your company because of their face tattoos, then you have the right not to hire them...there is no such thing as tattoo discrimination...that is why I got my tats where only I and people I let see them...Is disqualifying a qualified candidate with facial tatoos in an interview discrimination?
Depends. . .
Your employees represent your business. Every company has an image that they wish to portray. That is why one wears nice clothing to an interview.
If I were interviewing candidates for a job, and it came down to one with a facial tattoo, and one without, and they were equally qualified, I would go with the one with NO facial tattoo.
Discrimination? No. It is a CHOICE to get that tattoo. If you wish to work in corporate America, and decide to get a tattoo on your face, kiss that career goodbye. Discrimination is when someone excludes an individual based upon things that are either beyond ones control or have absolutely no bearing on their ability to be taken seriously and respected in a job. Religion is a reason to discriminate. And I have yet to see a religion that requires its followers to get facial tattoos. Is disqualifying a qualified candidate with facial tatoos in an interview discrimination?
No if u are dealing with the public and dress codes . U can leave a bad impression! They r looking out for the company
A company has a right to portray a certain image to the public and their customers. A person does not have the right to put things on their body, permanent or temporary, and demand that they be able to work like that. You can't have a mohawk, 20 piercings in one ear, a tattoo on the head or visible part of the body and think you can do what the hell you want at the work place. no one forces a person to get a tattoo, wear a vulgar t-shirt, or dye their hair an unorthodox hue. you have the right to do those things in your free time, of course, but you do not have the right to impose those choices on your employer and his or her business practices. so, basically, choose what's more important.... your ability to express yourself or the paycheck every week?
major lesson....... don't get tattoos on your face unless you are a troglodyte, in prison for life, a hard-core punk, or someone with the name Queequeg. by the way, tattoos on the face look really F'n dumb too.
I definately agree with hexe. If they are going to work with the public, then tatoos can be taken into account. Thats how modeling industries can be so picky about who they hire. But if you are hiring them to do a hidden job, you might not have a case, though most jobs do involve some public visibility.
it's not illegal to deny someone a job due to tattoos. if the company has a certain ';look'; to uphold then that is their choice.
Yes, but not ILLEGAL discrimination if a business case can be shown, such as working with the public.

What is a good affordable natural facial wash?
Your best bet would be to go to a Whole Foods or better yet a locally owned health food store. Unfortunately most organic and ';natural'; (which actually doesn't mean much) lines are not very cheap.
A good value is Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps. Most organic soaps are castile soaps. The Dr. Bronner's is very well priced and can be used on your face, body, hair, and to clean your house. It is free trade and organic. It is concentrated so you only use a tiny amount, the bottles last a very long time. I had an 8 ounce bottle that lasted months. I suggest Baby Mild for face use. Target also sells Dr. Bronner's soaps.
A really great organic line is Terressentials. The 100% organic fragrance free face wash is $10.75 and lasts about 3 months.
Burt's Bees is also a natural type company, but it's products are not organic.
Most if not all brands sold in drugstores are not natural or organic. They have many chemicals in them even if they appear to be of natural origin. I recently tried to find a ';green'; face wash at Target and was really hard pressed to find something that didn't have at least 2 red flag ingredients in the traditional face care section.
As a rule I would avoid anything with an unspecified ';fragrance'; as they have some of the worst most harmful chemicals of all cosmetic additives. What is a good affordable natural facial wash?
I once heard carmondy on ';what not to wear'; tell a person to use ';sugar'; every night to scrub her face. It makes sense to use granulated sugar at least to get the dead surface skin cells off. I also like using prescriptives products. They are found at department stores. Avon makes a line of facial soap that generally contains salicytic acid (basically made from aspirin or willow bark)
Hope this helpsWhat is a good affordable natural facial wash?
i use dove. its only about three or four dollars and its very soft and light, and i never get irritation.
if youre looking for something even more refreshing and natural go for loreal hydrating toner to wash your face. its a bit more expensive, maybe 5 or 6 dollars. but its very nice :)
hope i helped! %26lt;33
Biore is a really good natural face wash brand.
Not many people use it but its really nice and moisturises your skin.

What's the advantage of using facial powder?
Pls help! What's the advantage of using facial powder?
there's no advantage using facial powder only dries your skin and only aged your skin faster I prefer to use it only occasionally I prefer my skin without makeup it make you aged slow .What's the advantage of using facial powder?
The advantage of using face powder is for oil-control and setting of one's makeup. A oil-absorbing (a.k.a. mattifying) formula is great for oily and combination skins while a moisturizing formula (Dior and Smashbox) is to set makeup for normal and dry skins.
it sets all the other makeup you're wearing.
it absorbs oil.
it de-shines [absorbs the oil].
:)
sets ur foundation so ur makeup will last longer.
and keeps it from getting oily and smudging.
Sets your makeup and just makes it look better in general.
less oily face, matte finish

I know this may sound weird but I actually tried an experiment with that. I use honey, oats (from oatmeal but uncooked) and that`s it. It take a while to get smooth (maybe 5 mins) when you stir it. After applying/removing it my skin felt really smooth.

You should exfoliate regularly to help the hair from ingrowing. Also, don't shave against the grain. You won't get as close of a shave, but it will prevent in grown hairs.Facial hair growing more and starting to get more pimples help?
What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into pimples. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly pimples.
Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne for 14 YEARS and finally got rid of it completely. She's sharing her story at her site:

Good luck.

Ask your doctor for a prescription for Vaniqa, which reduces hair growth. Vaniqa is safe for all skin types; it won't make you break out, and, in fact, it can help get rid of the hair that's irritating the follicles and causing pimples. It's not always covered by insurance, but it's cheaper than laser hair removal.
use proactive! it seriously works. i too am ninteen and I know what its like to have weird skin like that! Also splurge on mineral make up, its expensive but less harsh on your skin and wont clog pores. I recomend ';Artiba'; mineral make up.
Good luck!

Has anyone gotten a teen facial at Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Connecticut?
I'm looking to get a teen facial and this seems to be the cheapest around even though I heard it is a really nice spa. The spa of Essex and Norwich's teen facials are much more expensive. Did anyone get a teen facial from Water's Edge? Did it work to clear up your skin? Any other spas you like in this area?Has anyone gotten a teen facial at Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Connecticut?
Sorry, no I live in California. Have you had a facial before? You can find a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant come to you and give you a facial for FREE. That way you can see if you like getting a facial before you spend any money. I have two Teens and I have never gotten them a professional facial.

Where can you buy hot wax ~ to do 'at home waxing' of facial hair?
do they have it at walmart.... or where? and is it easy to do yourself?Where can you buy hot wax ~ to do 'at home waxing' of facial hair?
yes they have it at walmart, or even the grocery store or a drug store. Get the Sally Hansen wax strips. They make them for specific parts of the body. You just rub them between your hands to heat them up, and then you peel them and apply. It doesnt hurt too bad and you can get some good results.
If you want the wax that you spread try Nads. I liked that but sometimes the clean up is a bit messyWhere can you buy hot wax ~ to do 'at home waxing' of facial hair?

Every time I smile at something someone says, my mom will be like, ';oh look she's laughing, she was dying of laughter!'; annoying stuff like that. And it always hurts peoples' feelings. So in a way, yes.
ALL the time! Whenever i get into trouble i have a habit of grining and smiling! The amount of times i have been kept after class over it!lol! And the thing is i actually dont mean to!

How can I fix my facial flaws?
1. im underweight with sunken cheeks
2. i have dark circles
3. i plucked my eyebrows over a decade ago and they have not grown back im glad i didnt completely pluck them but you can notice a patch of hair missing
4 i have a permanent white spot on my lower lip about the size of the tip of a pen from when i bit it (lip scar)How can I fix my facial flaws?
we have the same problem with eye brows..... what i am doing now is pencil my eyebrow so that it will look good.
eat well so that you will gain weight. do some exercises too so that you get shaped. use lipstick and foundation and pressed powder so that the white spot would not be noticeable. use concealers to hide your dark circles. How can I fix my facial flaws?
fat more and more often. keep the diet balanced to keep u from getting overweight. Do situps when u start eating so u dont become skinny-fat.
sleep more and use eye-cream with spf for dark circles. they have some in men's section (ur a dude i think?). and start wearing sun glasses during the day. and a hot/cold eye mask just b4 bed.
eyebrows, fill in with a pencil or mascara(if your good). Have a makeup counter person/mom/gf/sister/aunt show you the ropes. Pick someone who's makeup you like. I tried to trim my eyebrows b4 a conference and shaved it off!! and i was a presenter!!
you'll have to live with the lip thing - or get a piercing or tat to cover it up. Maybe a flesh colored tat on your lip- painful and expensive. I suggest getting an std test and keep the written results incase you want to get intimate and someone questions it being an std and not a scar.
go to doctor.

How to get rid of facial hair?
Hi Debra
Well there are lots of ways inorder to get rid of facial hair...
1. you can use a wax that is specially made for face skin..
Waxing keeps the mustache area hair-free for about six weeks
2.Threading, it is used to clean lines and shapes of the eyebrows and remove the unwanted hair from the face,,
the Threading is practised in India, Pakistan and in Middle East...
It is a peice of cotton thread which is twisted and pulled along the area of unwanted hair, lifting hair directly from the follicle.(((no external products, only the use of 100% cotton thread and a minimal amount of time with a skilled cosmetician)))... it has no side effect...
*I am from Middle East, and I use Threading, but not for my self cuze it is hard to do it by your own,,, go to a proffesional salon to do it fpr you..........in my personal experience,,,, it is much better than the wax,,,it pains, but only when begin to remove, then you will get used to it.
if your skin or your removal area becomes red... put ice on the area when you finish,,, it helps to reduce the red color ...

just DONT shave it bc it will keep coming back constantly

Why shouldnt you shave your facial hair if your a girl?
Everyone makes such a big deal about not shaving your ';upper lip'; ...whats all the ruckus?
thanks in advance =)Why shouldnt you shave your facial hair if your a girl?
It grows back coarser.
You'd be better getting it waxed by a professional, or possibly bleaching it.Why shouldnt you shave your facial hair if your a girl?
It will grow back thicker. Its better to bleach it or wax it.
If you shave it, it comes back fuller and darker.
It is your choice. It is a myth that it will grow back heavier than before. It is mostly a Western concept. Women in Europe do not seem to care that much but in the U.S. it seems to be considered non feminine. More common with black haired women than those with light hair and skin.
Your hair grows back darker, thicker, and more noticable. Your better off plucking, waxing, or bleaching. I personally wax mine by a professional but plucking works well.
b/cuz it'll come back all dark and prickly, i've heard. Its not such a good idea....
Because it will grow back courser and faster. You should go and get laser surgery. It cost about 6 or 7 hundred dollars. Good luck.
Becuz it'll grow back thick like porcupine hair!!
AND you'll have razor bumps!! (yuk...)
If your upper lip looks like ';Yosemite-Sam';, then, THAT'S what all the ruckus is!!!
If it's lite peach-fuzz, get your upper lip waxed instead of shaving it...
It grows back heavier and thicker,
pluck them instead
If you shave your facial hair it comes back more noticeable and coarser. Let it be.
Well, if you shave your upper lip the hair grows back and looks coarse.
Same thing happens with your legs and armspits though... Meh, I don't shave anything lol. Too lazy :3.
they say it grows back darker and thicker
If you start shaving it, it will grow back much thicker and will grow faster each time. Use a cream that is made for this.
Simply enough, because it will grow back worse and worse and eventually you will be able to have a mustache like a man. I know you don't want that.
There is nothing wrong with shaving if you are a girl. Why should girls have to put up with facial hair if it can be removed instead, either by shaving or by facial hair remover? I personally think it is disgusting to see a woman with those long hairs over their lip or on their chin! And if the hair is coming out of a facial mole, it still can be cut off with cuticle scissors so the mole isn't disturbed
It is NOT true that the hair will grow in thicker if you shave it, by the way.
Because it grows in darker and thicker and you dont want that babe. bleach it or use a whitning tooth paste it works the same as a blaching kit but less harmful.
Because it will grow back DARKER, THICKER, and more NOTICEABLE. Is that what you want??
It's doesn't grow back ';thicker'; or ';coarser'; as the mother's tale suggests, instead the razor can mis-direct the hair follicle leaving the impression that it is thicker when realistically it's the same amount of hair follicles they are just pointed in different directions.
And yes women should shave their lip, or wax. That's one thing I find extremely un-attractive.
Well...first of all....some women have natuarally blonde upper lip hair so there's really no reason to ';shave';. Me personally, I have slighly darker upper lip hair and it can be noticeable and somewhat weird and maybe disqusting...so I use Nair to get rid of it...Women who have dark hair is like seeing a women with a mustache
If you do that it will start feeling like your legs when they need to be shaved.
You will then look like a boy with a mustache.
Well first of all, mustaches are for guys.
You should wax or bleach your facial hair so people don't get the impression that you a male. DON'T SHAVE... it comes out thicker and grows back faster!
what the **** what kind of question is this
It's just our society...oppression from the patriarchy!
becuase it will grow back thicker, darker and there will be even more of it
Why not just leave it. i mean, natural is always the best look, right?
becsause it like leg hair
it grow back darker, faster and more scary! lol
Well I've heard that it can come back worse than before but whether that's true or not I'm not sure. I guess i don't see a problem with it but if it does come back thicker you can just shave it again. or you could try waxing. (ouch!)
you will eventually have to shave every day...plucking lasts longer.
That is not true. It depends how and with that materials you are shaving for it to turn thicker. I use facial hair wax, and when it grows back it will take longer each time to grow, and it will be thinner each time. Eventually with so much pulling off the root, some spots will not have any hair anymore. One thing: never shave with razors! It will definitely become a manly mustache!!
it grows back even worst!!!!
Besides you get that greenish color on top of it, use wax instead, go to a salon, they charge you like 6 bucks to do it, if you don't believe me, then shave it and you'll see how ugly you are going to look
Because it will grow back thicker and coarser and darker!!!

I guess its just ur body dealing with the change of hormones againHave anyone every experience dry facial skin after pregnancy. The skin is flaking and feels tight, ?
OMG yes! before pregnancy i was very moisturized and barely ever had to use lotion (anywhere) and after having my daughter especially int he winter time i feel so gross everything is extremly dry including my face. Use VASELINE intensive rescue, just a small dab run into your hands and onto your face over a few times until your face feels moist to smile and move but dont to too much to quick or else you will become greesey
not just my face but my entire body became extremely dry after I had any of my three kids. I went through serious amounts of cremes and it always lasted about 3 or 4 mos. Something about hormones balancing themselves again.. I dont know. Just another wonder of pregnancy :)

What are some good facial cleansers?
I don't really have acne but i want something to just clean my face really good to prevent it. I used nuetrogena rapid clear pads but it burns when i use it and i dont really feel like i need it since i dont have acne.. i also have dry sensitive skin, so i need something that wont dry it out.
Any suggestions? What are some good facial cleansers?
emyy,
Like you I have oily skin. This is what I use and do to keep my skin clean to the touch, and oil/pimple free.
I use Coonobabe's Pepino cleanser, followed by their Manzanillo toner. Wash face with cleanser, pat dry with clean towel, then apply toner and allow to air dry. I repeat this during hot and humid days sometimes twice but it's worth it if you want to have good looking skin. http://www.coonobabe.com I hope this helps you as it did for me.What are some good facial cleansers?

Oral supplements to reduce facial oil?
I wash my face twice a day but could not keep oil from my face and have to wipe it 2-3 times throughout the day in between washes. What are the oral supplements that I may take to reduce facial oil?
Any particular brand that is recommended?Oral supplements to reduce facial oil?
Don't take oral supplements. Most don't work and have serious side effects.
If you want to reduce facial oil, try this:
Get any kind of face wash that has 2% (or higher) salycic acid (ex. neutrogena's acne fading peel) and a moisturizer (no oil in them) for your skin.
Salycic acid completely gets rid of the oil, making your face feel tight. The moisturizer give your face the right amount of moisture since your face can't be too tight or too oily.Oral supplements to reduce facial oil?
I wouldn't take any oral supplements to control excess oil. Your hormones are definitely out of balance. I'd recommend a few things:
1) Go on a juice fast for a minimum of 7 days. Don't freak out yet! You'll be getting all of your nutrients and minerals from fresh fruit and vegetable juices. You can drink as much fresh juice as you want throughout the day, but steer clear from caffeine. Of course drink plenty of water too. That will detox your body and give your body the chance to renew, heal and restore itself without having to spend all of its energy on digesting food. Your facial appearance will look SO MUCH BETTER, MORE RADIANT, LESS OILY and best of all, you'll feel great!
2) Contrary to what we've been told, washing our faces with harsh facial products is 100% bad for you! It'll just make your face produce more oil. I'm going to put a link down for you about the Oil Cleansing Method. You'll freak out at first because who would've thought that in order to get rid of your oily face, you have to apply oil to it?! Well, I've tried it and it works wonders. Dr. Hauschka has a good normalizing facial oil! It rocks! They're a bit pricey though, but you can also use virgin coconut oil and it's cheaper.
3) Stay away from foods that raise insulin levels, i.e. processed foods, breads (unless it's sprouted bread), etc. Avoid dairy too!natural instinct

Can i leave a facial mask overnight?
The lady who gives me facials gave me a sample of a green face mask, but she didn't tell me if i can leave it overnight and the container its in doesn't say anything. Can i leave a facial mask overnight?
Noo! Leaving a face mask on for too long is just as bad for ur skin than if you didnt even bother putting it on at all! 15 minutes maximum. Can i leave a facial mask overnight?
NO!!!! That is a huge mess. It will totally ruin the whole point of putting it on. If you really want to, you can just leave it on the place you want it.
Most facial masks you can, but I would try it first on a small peice of skin to make sure you dont break out.
no, you shouldnt because it has a risk of clogging your pores and making you get pimples.
I would not leave it on. At best, it will dry out your skin and may make your complexion worse. Got ahead and use it (no more than a half hour). Then rinse with warm water. Try clearasil on any blemishes - you can leave that on overnight.
you better not, just to be safe.
most face masks you leave on for 10 min %26amp; wash off.

no, you shouldnt because it has a risk of clogging your pores and making you get pimples.
What is the best facial foundation coverage without looking cakey?
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Flawless Complexion Kit Collection
$19.95 -
It does not cake and is real cute kit. What is the best facial foundation coverage without looking cakey?
Try mineral makeup like Mineral Power by maybelline. You get the foundation powder that matches your skin tone and then the mineral veil/finishing powder to make it all airbrushed and glowy. Get a BIG fluffy brush to buff it on lightly and it will sort of airbrush away any discoloration and flaws so you look like you but naturally clear and glowing skin.
Make sure you clean well and use a little moisturizer first -- does not have to be fancy -- I use a tiny dollop of my Suave lime verdana lotion from a pump. What is the best facial foundation coverage without looking cakey?
Oooh definately bare minerals, it covers everything!!!! omg even dark circles and it looks like you're not even wearing anything. I lovee it soo much lol =]. It's like 18 dollars just for the make up.but it you want the whole kit it's 60$ and that comes with the brushes, the skin rever-upper, 2 mineral foundations, and mineral veil and warmth. it's amazing I strongly recomend it.. It's worth the pirce, it's the best makeup i've ever tried
Just get a powder foundation, like the new Revlon one. Or, if you have money, get bare minerals. One of my friends moms has that and I tried it...works AMAZING.

What are the best facial creams for maturing skin?
I agree with the comment that Aveeno has great (foaming) face washes. As far as facial creams go, however, nothing beats Oil of Olay. The ladies that I know in their 40s and 50s with amazing skin all say that's what they use; that's all the convincing I need! :) By the way, my mom and I both had tingly reactions to the ';sensitive skin'; formula. I would go with original. What are the best facial creams for maturing skin?
I'm using the regenerist line from Oil of Olay. So far no wrinkles. What are the best facial creams for maturing skin?
You should try the Aveeno positively ageless face wash and moisturizer. They have awesome face products.
The Olay Regenerist line is great! It's available in the drugstore and is pretty affordable. Aveeno is another good drugstore brand. Though I would recommend maybe stopping by a Nordstrom or other department store and visiting a Kiehl's or Clinique and have a consultation. They both have wonderful skincare lines, they will cost you a little more, but it my experience it's worth it. Also, remember just because you have a consultation does NOT mean you are obligated to purchase something. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!!

When should i get facial hair?
I'm 16, and for about 6 months i've had mustache hair and i've been shaving once every two weeks or so, and i was wondering when i should expect to get beard hair? When should i get facial hair?
It will come bit by bit. First a few longer hairs that you begin noticing and then a few more, etc. It won't happen overnight. Probably by the time you are 17 or 18.When should i get facial hair?
everyone grows different.
For me in High School i couldn't grow a mustache or a beard (cheeks), but I grew more facial hair on my chin than anywhere else. In my later years (junior/senior) my mustache filled in and yet my cheeks did not.
Finally at my second year of college im starting to get a full beard. However I went to school with guys who got their beards by their Junior.senior years. everyone is different.
a TIP is to shave about every other day, because the more you shave the faster it grows back and matures (gets more coarse/ thicker).
trust me enjoy your ';facial-hair-freeness'; while you have it NO MAN and i mean NO MAN likes shaving. but like all young men who dont have facial hair yet and want it what you can do is shave your face anyway if you have whats called ';peach-fuzz'; which you prolly do then keep shaving that every other day or so and the hair will start coming in thicker and darker and b4 you know it your going to be like every other man who hates to shave =]
Not trying to scare you or anything, but you might not get any. My fiancee grows facial hair around his mouth or his sideburns. When he tries to grow a beard, he ends up growing in patches and certain spots never grow hair. So, you might not get a beard....
On the flipside, my brother is a very hairy guy with lots of facial hair. He started getting a mustache before his beard came in. You may start to see growth within the next two years or so. =)
It will probably grow in by next year OR atleast by your 18th birthday. Just be glad you don't have to worry about shaving for now. It'll come soon enough and you'll be hasseled with having to shave every day.
Everyone is different, but I think you might get when you are 18-20 years old.
For me I've got it, and it is annoying.
I starts of as the peach fuzz, then when your older you will get more coarse and it will get thicker and you will have a beard
Try rubbing fresh **** on your chin and hair growth should follow shortly.
everyone is different hun
hhahaah well, everyone has their own time of getting it !
maybe soon?
its up to u. it will make u look older
Everyone is different. My brother got it when he was 20.

What's a good facial scrub to remove blackheads.?
Perferably at a drugstore.
:D thnxWhat's a good facial scrub to remove blackheads.?
DEF St Ives Apricot Scrub for acne prone skin! This product in WONDERFUL!What's a good facial scrub to remove blackheads.?
I'm a very ';Natural'; person and when it comes to skin, before I start using any product I take a look at myself first.
Most skin products are a ';bandage'; on the real problem.
The real problem being, we are not taking care of ourselves.
Scrubing your skin with harsh cleansers, cleaning, using this technique or that will may result in your ageing your face early on.
Facial skin is delicate, so believe me when I say, cleaning it with a plain water will assist you in maintaining balance and rid you of some of the problems you may be creating for yourself.
For many years I have used ';Mary Kay Cleanser and Moisturizer'; and people constantly tell me I have good skin, and remark on how young I look....and added plus.
Not only that, Mary Kay has no harsh chemicals and is so very gentle. If you decide to use it, people will notice.
Some other things to consider as the ';cause'; of your acne problem.
If you not drinking 64 ounces of water a day, you body holds on to toxins which get trapped in your skin, in your pores, in your intestinal track, which is a direct reflection on your facial skin, so drink plently of water, not juice, not coffee, not soda....good clean fresh water.
Also evaluate what you used to wash your face with, a clean towel each day (detergents can also contribute)....
When you lay your face towel down after using, germs are all over it, and when you pick it up to wash your face again, unless you bleach it clean, you have just placed those germs on your face on your body, Ugghhh.....Think about it.
Buy the disposable face clothes or wash your face with your cleaned hands, it's best then pat dry with a clean towel.
If you are a female and use make up, use water based makeup and then remove it properly with Mary Kay Oil Free, Make Up Remover and disposable cotton balls.
Refrain from rubbing hard, scrubbing, using harsh exfoliating techniques, some store products have walnut shell in it and will scratch your delicate skin.
St. Ives....UGGGHH, read your labels. I used this once. Never again. You should see what it does to your skin under a microscope. You'll thank me!
Eat fresh fruits and veggies, limit take out and fast food, cook for yourself so you know what is going into it.
I love to stir fry, with steam and maybe a cap full or less of olive oil. (I get fresh and frozen veggies.) You need some oil, go for the unsaturated oils.
If you can afford organic foods then go organic. Start with replacing milk and eggs first.
Think healthy skin, clean skin, and don't forget to gently clean and use non clogging moisturizer before going to bed.
Exercise at least every other day, make your skin sweat out the impurities. Cool all the way down before bathing. Pores are still open when you sweat, so let your body dry down. It also helps prevent soreness after a work out. You get sore because water gets into your pores. You pores are still open.
Fast with juice and water one day or more a week.
Clean out your colon, don't buy expensive colon cleansers go naturally, eat fiber, whole grain bread like Brownberry, spend the extra money on the good stuff, and drink lots of water.
Start your day off with an apple and oatmeal for breakfast.
I use my coffee grinder and grind whole flax seed and add it with dry oatmeal to my yogurt.
Watch your intake of fried, greasy, foods.....limit french fries to once in a while, fried chicken, all fried food, that grease may be a contributor to your pores clogging.
Like I said at the beginning of this answer.
Start looking on the inside of you, because the choices you make are reflecting on the outside of you.
Never under estimate a good colon cleanse....I don't believe in colonics, by the way, the intestinal system is pointed downward for a reason.
Most problems start at the top (what's in your head, and what you do or don't put in your mouth).
All Clear products that removes blackheads. It has a complete cleansing regimen that you really need to get rid of blackheads. An exfoliate to get the dead cells to let the products do the best job. A toner to deep rinse and close the pores and then a moisturizer to balance out your skin again.
You can use Glow Care Cream, Homoeopathic Medicine. This is the best cream among all I have used. Follow the instructions mentioned on the cream.

Why do Men have facial hair and women dont?
and do all men get facial hair post puberty? Why do Men have facial hair and women dont?
testosterone... some women have too much and grow facial hair too... this seems to be prevalent among east indians...Why do Men have facial hair and women dont?
A good question! The occurrence of male facial hair, like any physical trait or behavior, may be explained from four different, complementary perspectives or ';levels of analysis.'; Two provide ';proximate'; (immediate cause) explanations, and the other two provide ';ultimate'; (long-term cause) explanations. Proximate explanations describe developmental programs and physiological mechanisms, whereas ultimate explanations focus on how traits affect survival and reproduction, and their probable evolutionary history.
Let's consider your question from all four perspectives. Regarding development, male facial hair sprouts at puberty (sexual maturity), coincident with emergence of a suite of ';adult'; characteristics, such as increases in height and deepening of the voice. Regarding mechanism, appearance of facial hair, and the other signs of maturity, are attributable to the stimulatory effects of male hormones, particularly testosterone.
Regarding evolutionary history, varying amounts of facial hair occurs in all primates (our closest relatives), and its quantity and quality differ between the sexes in many species. This implies that sexual dimorphisms in facial hair have characterized our evolutionary lineage for millions of years.
What about the functions of facial hair? Clearly it is not necessary for survival or reproduction, since it does not occur in most women and it is minimal or absent among men in many populations. Such variations seem unrelated to climate or ecology.
Most likely, facial hair functions in ';sexual selection,'; meaning attracting mates or intimidating rivals. For example, a beard's color and texture are known to influence womens' perceptions of a man's age, social status, and general vigor. A bushy beard also may make a man appear larger, cushion his face against blows in a fight, and hide scars from previous altercations.
Men in our culture routinely shave off their facial hair. Does this imply that beards are no longer attractive or protective in societies like ours? Perhaps you'll find out!
The answer to men's facial hair is the hormone ';testosterone';. This hormone, which males produce even since birth, becomes fully active during and after puberty. Facial hair is just one side effect of testosterone; it stimulates many different types of bodily/pubic hair. It also stimulates some parts in male growth.
Maybe when women started to not go outside of the cave as much, they needed facial hair less. Maybe men found women's faces sexually stimulating, hence encouraging the evolution of smooth-faced women.(鈩?Mistress Bekki anwser

facial hair is genetic and depends on hormone and testosterone levels, so some men will have it, some don't. AND some women will have it.
Look man soon enough you'll see that women get hair on their leg, armpits, arms, vagina, and even mustaches. But most shave and get waxes. Look around and research I promise you. Anything else? Call ya boy D up @ rashadlove77@yahoo.com.
testosterone is the male hormone which makes men do and like ';men things'; eg. grow facial hair. women have a different hormone called estrogen which makes the women do ';women things';
All people have facial hair, both men and women. But men's hair is much thicker because of the amount of male hormone called testosterone.
hormones, and woman with unbalanced hormone levels.....lets just say i've seen some woman who needed desperate waxing, not only for their eyebrows .....

Sleep on a clean pillow case every few days, you can put tea tree oil on it at night, use the mint julep mask t wice a week. That really helps. Also make sure you exfoliate twice a week to get rid of dead skin cells. Make sure your clenser has acne medicine and most importantly drink plenty of water. That will help the most. I used to have problem skin, but now it is smooth and clear. I also put baking soda mixed with water on my face nad take a shower. it helps to exfoliate. That is what makes it baby soft. Good luck. What works for one person might not work for others. Using witch hazel as an astrigent also helps some people. I know the baking soda will get your skin noticably smooth right after you do it.What is the best facial cleanser for acne prone skin?

Khiels has a good blue herbal range for oily/blemish prone skin. You can buy these products from their Website. Im not sure of the web address but you can search 'khiels' on Yahoo or google %26amp; get the same results. They are'nt too badly priced either.
I love Biore's blemish fighting ice cleanser and blemish fighting cleansing cloths they cost anywhere from $5-7 but it's worth it or you can also get St.Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub I use that everyday it's great and it's under $3 and for quick spot treatments Clean%26amp;Clear Advantage Spot Treatment works fast and won't over dry.

How Do You Reduce Facial Fat?
Ive tried cardio and dieting and i workout a lot...im pretty slim i probably have about 8% body fat on me but i cant seem to shake this fat off my face. any suggestions? How Do You Reduce Facial Fat?
Fat doesn't always come from fat intake.
Carbs turn to sugars and become fat in the body.
You want to lose fat there is one way that never misses.
DO THE WORK.
Move your body. Park farthest away from the store you are shopping at. Walk instead of drive, bike instead of bus.
If you get moving it doesn't matter where fat comes from because it won't stick to you.
And do not smoke-it stops you from movingHow Do You Reduce Facial Fat?
Lipo is the only way, I'm a nurse.
when you lose weight you lose all over
Trie to do alot of facial expressions that helps alot.
Look at your parents, your face will have a composition similar to theirs.
Look up some facial exercises. You actually have to exercise the areas you want to lose weight.

Will Lidstrom miss the wednesday game against Atlanta because of his facial injury?
yeah I don't think he's coming back for three games. I know he'll miss the one on Saturday. When he comes back he'll be wearing a protective visor. He might be back for that game if he's feeling better and if they risk something in the Pre-season. I highly doubt it though.
GO WINGS!Will Lidstrom miss the wednesday game against Atlanta because of his facial injury?
possibly, but only because it's preseason. if the game counted, he'd be on the top defensive line. Will Lidstrom miss the wednesday game against Atlanta because of his facial injury?
I'd be surprised to see him any earlier than game one of the regular season.
He may not have played if healthy, preseason is joke.
He is out with a broken nose and will not be able to play in the next 3 games
He's a hockey player, he'll be back.
just because its preseason, they will keep himout for a whilenatural instinct

What method best for facial resurfacing pores, small acne scars?
dermabrasion? chemical peels? etc? Only looking for answers from those who have tried various methodsWhat method best for facial resurfacing pores, small acne scars?
Hello,
I've had dermabrasion, chemical peels and microdermabrasion and the best for me was without any doubt microderma. It reduced my acne scars and fine wrinkles, minimized my pores and removed blemishes and red spots left by acne. I needed 12 sessions for best results, but it's well worth it.
Good luck.

Use Fruit Facial or Aloe Vera Facial
i like to use a milk oatmeal and honey mix it works well if your skin is sensitive and can get dry or oily easily try it. it cant hurt
A facial is not for everyone. You either love it or you don't. If you love it, it is the ultimate in pampering.
A facial is basically a sauna for your face. Steam is used to soften skin and ';open'; pores so that dead cells and blackheads can be easily removed.
Professional facials can be pricey. If you're watching your cash, try giving yourelf a facial at home. The results are still beautiful.
Do It Yourself Facial
1) Wash face with a mild soap or cleanser and exfoliate with a gentle grain scrub.
2) Bring to boil a large pot of water. To make your facial a little more relaxing, add lavender, rosemary, chamomile or eucalyptus and cover.
3) Turn off the heat and let stand for 5-10 minutes. Using a towel to cover your head, hold your face over the pot-about 10 inches from the pot so as not to burn your skin-and stay for 5-10 minutes. The smaller your pores the less time you need in the steam. The steam will soften pores and make it easier to extract dirt and oil.
4) Wipe face with a clean, warm washcloth.
5) If skin is oily, apply a clay or mud mask and follow directions. Typical drying time is 5-10 minutes. For dry skin, apply a moisturizing mask. For combination skin, such as an oily t-zone (forehead and nose) and dry face, apply the moisturizing mask to dry areas and the clay or mud mask to oily areas.
6) Rinse with cold water to reduce pores.
7) Moisturize with a light facial lotion.

Is it possible to dye your hair with benzoly peroxide facial cleanser?
You won't have any hair left if you do that, but hey go ahead I need a good laugh. After you do it show me a pic! lol!!!! I'm just kidding, but I really wouldn't recommend it. You would so severly damage your hair, it would turn all hard and crunchy!!!lol!!! Just get hair dye ffrom wal*mart! Is it possible to dye your hair with benzoly peroxide facial cleanser?
If by dye you mean damage, then yes.Is it possible to dye your hair with benzoly peroxide facial cleanser?
Sure. Just don't expect your hair to look like hair when you're done.
I wouldn't try benzoyl peroxide.... you can just use peroxide which comes in a bottle. However, depending on how dark your hair is, it might just make it turn orangy so better to just buy a bottle of hair dye.
Don't even try. it might damage your hair so just either dye at home or a salon.
If your considering this, your a moron. I'm sorry, just pointing out the obvious .natural instinct

What do you women think of a slight stuble for facial hair on a guy?
You know like a 5 o'clock shadow or a scruff. What do you women think of a slight stuble for facial hair on a guy?
I THINK IT IS SOOOO HOTT....that turns me on.....like crazy....What do you women think of a slight stuble for facial hair on a guy?
I like the five o clock, as long as it's even (no patches). i hate when my dude shaves, i love to rub his fase when on mine when its NOT baby smooth. Not to mention, it shows that you can be comforatable without being shaven, if you wear it often. Go for it, but keep it LINED UP.
I personally can't stand facial hair! SORRY. It's not that the appearance of a little facial hair is all that bad, it's just the way it feels when you're getting intimate if you know what I mean. I say no SCRUFF!
It is okay sometimes, it is kind of sexy actually. However, not all the time and I have an extreme sensitivity to it if you rub my face with it I break out in a little rash. It hurts.
Some guys can pull it off. But I've seen some that really can't.. lol
So, if you're one of those guys that look good with it, then it's HOT.
Otherwise, I prefer a freshly shaven face.
xD
I like just a little bit, looks good.

Me, personally, I like my man's facial hair like my sex: rough! (lol) It's sexy when a man looks rugged. I want him to stay mostly trimmed up, but I'm SO into the facial hair thing. It's great for nerve stimulation and just all around reminds me of why I like dating older guys. :-)Girls how do you honestly feel dating a guy with facial hair ?
To be honest with you......no....lol Sorry.....I'm just not feelin' it. Depends on the guy tho, I don't go for a santa clause like Beards or mustaches......it's just not for me, maybe other girls like it but not me. lol Some hair is okay, like a goatee or five'oclock shadow. So yup I prefer a clean-shaven : )
I love it when a guy grown his facial hair a little bit, but too much, not so lovely.
Stubble is horrible though and i guess it depends on whether the guy suits it or not. if he grows it especially for me and then sahves it when i want its kinda a turn on! haha!
ahahaha.
I prefer clean shaven.

Why are some facial creams so expensive and others not?
Are the expensive ones better? (usually big brands) and what brand do you use? For eye contours, day- %26amp; nightcream, ...Why are some facial creams so expensive and others not?
You are primarily paying for name brands with expensive lines. Recently a poll came out from studies from professionals, laymen(everyday people) and beauty experts...that the most effective line in beauty cream was the Oil of Olay Regenerist, and at approx. $17 a jar, it is very reasonable as well.
I am 39 y.o woman who works nights and has three kids and a household to run, there is not a person I know who has ever guessed my age correctly. I have used regular Oil of Olay since high school, and soap, (yes I know everyone is horrified), I prefer Nivea Visage CoQ10 Night Cream, it's thick for pm, although I recently started with Regenerist last week and am excited to see any improvement over the next few weeks. I have tried everything from Lancome, Clinique, Kiehl's, etc. and I always return to my Olay! Why are some facial creams so expensive and others not?
i use clarins products and dont think they are that expensive the cleasers and toners are only around 14 pounds and the day cream i use is around 30 pounds and it last quite a while cos you only need a small amount. try going to a department store and asking for a few samples first so you can try before you buy,
you pay for what you get...meaning: if it's cheaply made, it's cheaply priced, if it's a good quality, it's going to be higher priced. so i'de go for the more expensive one.
the name and their ingredients
Sometimes you are paying for exotic ingredients. Sometimes you are just paying for the brand name. Read the ingredients on the bottle, a lot of times you are buying weird chemical concoctions. Don't waste your money.
For pure, safe and beneficial products, try Arbonne. They are all natural, botanical and safe for all skin types. They have some GREAT anti-aging products - night creams, eye creams to reduce wrinkles, etc. And they have great daily cleansers and moisturizers that are pH balanced and all hypoallergenic.
